Opening Night Party

Our opening night party salutes the participating organizations, sponsors and diverse audience of architects, designers and design enthusiasts who make Architecture and the City - the Bay Area's first and only architecture and design festival - possible. Catch a glimpse of the homes showcased on the 2007 San Francisco Living: Home Tours weekend and participate in the world's first Live Architecture Competition hosted by the Open Architecture Network. Pecha Kucha Recaps Architecture and the City
September 28, 8:20 pm, Free (2.5 LUs) 330 Ritch Street, San Francisco Pecha Kucha, which is Japanese for “the sound of conversation,” was created by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in 2003. The event invites young designers to meet, network and show their work in public. Pecha Kucha has tapped into a demand for a forum in which creative work can be easily and informally shown, without having to rent a gallery or chat up a magazine editor. This special evening celebrates the Architecture and the City festival with presenters recapping their experiences on the monthlong festival. Sponsored by AIA San Francisco.
